Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are available for a range of specified psychological services for people with certain conditions, as listed below.
To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, an individual must be referred by their GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician.

Please note that unfortunately, Medicare rebates are not available for parent sessions in which the child is not present. The identified patient on the Medicare referral must be present in order for Medicare rebates to be claimed. Parent sessions are claimable via NDIS. It is advised that you call Medicare on 132 150 to confirm your eligibility prior to your first appointment. |
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
We are only able to see clients under the NDIS if they are self-managed. This means that full fees are paid and then receipts submitted by the client themselves to NDIS for reimbursement. Unfortunately we are not able to see clients under the NDIS who are plan-managed or NDIA-managed.

Private Health Rebates
You may be eligible to receive rebates from your private health insurance. Southern Child & Family Psychology are registered with most of the major private health insurers. Please speak to your insurer to check your level of extras cover.

Cancellations
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for cancellations, otherwise 50% of the fee will apply. Failure to attend an appointment will attract the full fee and cannot be claimed via Medicare.
