Covid-19 Safe Policies and Procedures
The following measures are in place to protect our clients and staff, and are in accordance with government COVID-SAFE requirements.
- If you or someone in your family feel unwell, please stay at home until you are fully recovered, and call our clinic to either cancel your appointment or request it be switched to telehealth. Contact your GP or Healthdirect on 1800 022 222 for medical advice.
- Sessions may need to be switched to Telehealth at any time due to worsening community transmission of COVID-19 cases, or as a precaution if your clinician is unwell. We will advise you of such changes ASAP.
- Please practise good hand hygiene (hand sanitiser is available in reception).
Working with Separated Parents
At Southern Child and Family Psychology, our focus is on the emotional and psychological wellbeing of the children we see. Amongst the children who attend the clinic, many come from separated families. Conflict and communication breakdown within families can limit collaboration with health care providers and impact optimal treatment outcomes for the child. As such, we have a clear policy in place that outlines our practice’s philosophy to ensure that the best interests of our clients are always prioritised. A copy of this policy is provided to all separated parents who engage our services, but can also be accessed online below:
