Southern Child & Family Psychology is a clinical psychology service providing assessment and treatment for a wide range of psychological, emotional, social, behavioural and developmental difficulties.  We specialise in working with children, adolescents, and families.   

Dr Catherine Matthews is the senior psychologist and founder of Southern Child & Family Psychology. 

We have a highly experienced multidisciplinary team of paediatric specialists who work closely with our psychologists, including a paediatrician, child and adolescent psychiatrist, and a paediatric clinical neuropsychologist.  

Our team has a strong commitment to providing evidence-based treatment in a sensitive, thoughtful and collaborative manner.  

What is a Clinical Psychologist?

Clinical Psychologists have specialised training and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of major mental illness and psychological problems.
